Note: this will be a review for all the current seasons and movies that have aired up to 2020. I don't remember how I started watching this, especially since I get scared easily but surprisingly I cried more than I was scared. First of all, I love the story. However, the anime deals a lot with death, loneliness, grief, sadness, heartbreak, love, and goodbyes. I think they do a really good job of keeping it interesting and consistent throughout the six seasons that I have watched. The main premise is for Natsume to return the names of the youkai in the book of friends, and sofar there are still a lot of names for him to return, so I'm still looking forward to the upcoming seasons. And so far I love the characters, especially Natsume because he's honestly just one of the kindest, honest, and innocent anime character I have ever met. His pure and kind heart is what I love most about the anime and what makes watching the anime so enjoyable to watch. There is also Nyanko-sensei who sometimes acts cold or selfish, but can be seen at times to be protective and caring of Natsume over time. Honestly, I just really enjoyed the anime, the art, the music, and how it brought up so much emotions out of me.

This anime is bittersweet. While it shows a lot of heart, there are a lot of heartbreak too. This anime focuses on life and death of both humans and youkai, so of course, you would expect a lot of goodbyes, which made me tear up a lot. I give the anime a 9/10, and its now one of my favourite animes.
