What Mezzo DSA loses in budget and animation consistency, it gains in sheer style and attitude. This punkish sequel to the incredible Mezzoforte is a silly, ridiculous romp of a procedural which rarely if ever takes itself the least bit seriously. The pace is wonky, the characters are insane, the setting is retro sci fi with fantastical elements, the physics are nonexistent, and the sex and fanservice is constant, but something about Mezzo DSA just hits all the right places. they TRULY do not make em like this anymore. if this got a season 2, it couldve truly hit a stride. here's to hoping umetsugets to revist it one day.
