Review of Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online (SAO) is an anime where our MC, a beta tester for a new VR-MMO, is stuck in the game along with lots of other people and must fight with his life on the line to have a hope of escaping the game. Normal episodes consist of MC edgelord using the edge of his blade and his pro-gamer strats to utterly destroy every opponent he faces as he fights against mobs, bosses, and players alike. This is a staple of the Isekai genre and even if it isn't a masterpiece it's still worth a watch. The future seasons also try to improve uponthe formula and get to be really high-quality.

The art is decent and the worldbuilding is great. The characters can be a little flat sometimes and the story is predictable but it does well with what it has.

If you like swords, interesting power systems, and OP MCs then this is for you. If you like Isekai then you literally need to watch this, even if only to be able to trash on it.
