Review of Sword Art Online

Sword Art Online was great until it wasn't. Literally I feel like they took all of SAO and what it really stood for and epic story line plus characters including awesome balance between romance, action, and conflict and shoved it out the door. Only keeping the left overs which is practically a corpse of what Sword Art Online really was. They turned the beloved epic Kirito who could beat the heck out of you with not even a blink of an eye and turned him into...... a semi average teenager that acts like nothing happened to him in his past and can't even throw aproper punch. Same goes with Asuna. Suguha on the other hand, can we just kill her character off already. The reason I say Kirito's character kind of went down hill is because realistically someone who just came out of a virtual reality that became their reality would show signs of PTSD and or see things constantly reminding him of his once reality. Another thing that annoys me about the anime is that at moments there are weird plot holes. Which can get frustrating at times. Other than the bad character development and random plot holes the story itself is very good, the soundtrack is really beautiful (The original theme song is still stuck in my head.), and the art is very pretty (Especially when the characters are in Aincrad) and 98% fluid animation.
