Review of Monster
The characterisation is what really stands out to me. Characters introduced an episode ago feel like fully fleshed out people. The character development is also amazing. Many characters that were extremely unlikable at the start eventually become badass and likeable somehow. Another thing is that it made me feel smart. There are lots of different characters that all kind of look similar (basically a bunch of old men), and knowing what part they play in the story was kind of complicated, but maybe that's just me. This is definitely a very mature anime, not just because of nudity, murder, prostitution, etc., but because of the overallpsychological themes that might be difficult to understand. I'd personally say that anything older than 15 would be a good age to be able to enjoy this, but do whatever you want i guess.
Yes, 74 episodes might seem very drawn out, but I personally did not find it to be too long.
100% worth it, mc is cute too~
