It's a really great coming of age anime, revolving around a bratty immature girl(MC) learning to be more honest with herself/others and to see both the good and the bad in both people/situations instead of just the bad or the good, it's character driven more so than story driven but the characters are all pretty great. First two episodes give a kinda bad/misleading first impression regarding how perverted the guy is/his personality, but it's to set up an important twist later on that's really important to the narrative(from a how are we going to tie all the story elements together angle), if the only thing makingyou want to drop this upon first trying it is the your first impression of the guy try to stick with it at least through episode 3 before deciding it's too over the top, the guy is actually quite tame, mature, and just an all around good guy.

Note regarding the genre: it's mostly just a slice of life/romantic comedy(emphasis on the comedy), everything else is mostly coincidence the fact that they're students isn't really relevant, they're rarely at school, all the "drama"(character development segments) is light hearted stuff that gets resolved happily, it's not really ecchi aside from using very light "ecchi" behavior as humor, and while there is a love story mixed in there, it takes second fiddle to the girl growing as a person, not really being the focus until after she's finally kinda mature as a person at the very end of the anime and certain revelations are made.
