Review of Arakawa Under the Bridge
Another great anime produced by SHAFT, this along with sayonara zetsubou sensei and bakemonogatari is just awesome work from the studio. The humour is sort of non cliche and I enjoy it very much, those who are familiar with sayonara zetsubou sensei might get a feel to it, not exactly similar, but both unique in its own way. The romance element added into the story adds colour to the whole anime in a very organized way, can't seem to find a proper word to explain that sorry but in description, there is not too much emphasize on it but just enough in somewhat creating anamusing plot. The anime just gives you a feel of a faint plot with all the humour but along the way there appears to be more to it, remains a mystery to me still, I haven't touch the manga so I can't be too sure with the plot involved however, that only made the anime much much more enjoyable to me. women claims to be an alien, man claims to be a kappa, man dressed as a nun, man claiming to be a star, as in the stars you see in the skies I will leave the rest to your imaginations. Now more on the characters, I am surprised how every single character in the anime is very interesting, even those with minor screen time, every single one compliment the humour in the story and just gives you a random and mysterious feel on all of them and as the story progresses, hints of history is revealed on some of the characters and the indirect and random approach is very smart. Honestly I enjoy every single episode, but it is just me, I am captured by arakawa under the bridge's pretty art, great soundtrack, the voice actors are very good, I think the main character ichinomiya kou is voiced by the same person who voiced Itoshiki Nozomu (sayonara zetsubou sensei), the humour is top notch, I find the faint-like plot very clever and the characters are amazing. Overall, this is a clever and hilarious anime and is definitely worth a watch, no harm will come to you, I promise. ;)
