Absolutely unintelligible anime chock full of half developed concepts and plot threads. The result? This mess of an ova is too long, even for its short 2 episode 45 minute each run. Floating island states, psychic powers, cyborg bishounens, hover bike races, spunky redheads and even koala ewoks riding space kangaroos etc. having all these things should make any anime awesome but this anime suffers from some of the worst execution I've ever seen. For example, I couldn't even tell until the 2nd episode whether the setting was confined to one planet with floating continents or a whole galaxy of worlds. No character motivations are explained, none of the technology or the way the island societies work is explained and I couldn't even explain the plot because I think there isn't any to begin with (contrary to what any synopsis may lead you to believe)!
So all the cool sci-fi concepts, character designs and visual direction is utterly meaningless and wasted; a real shame because this OVA would of had a unique world if it bothered to do any worldbuilding.
This anime has nothing worthwhile unless you're a junkie for obscure OVAs like me or want to force a meme out of the koala ewok people.
