Review of Hunter x Hunter

Unlike it's predecessor, Hunter x Hunter 2011 has a much more lighthearted tone for the most part, favoring the classic battle shounen style over the darker character explorations seen in HxH 1999 The OST gives it a more comedic vibe, while still doing a good job keeping things darker when needed but with more of a dramatic flare to it Story-wise, it does suffer from remake syndrome, rushing thru the arcs that were previously adapted, this unfortunately results in skipping most if not all secondary character developement which is important to future arcs And now i'll get to the arc which gains HxH 2011 a lot of it'spraise, the Chimera Ant arc...
I'm in no way saying it's a bad arc, it does have some really good elements to it, but some of these moments only got an emotional reaction out of me because i'd gotten to know the characters in HxH 1999
Also, it's just too damn bloody long, dragging out for 61 episodes (that's almost the entire run of HxH 1999!)
This in contrast with the hyperspeed pace of previous arcs makes it feel that much more tedious
