Review of Durarara!!

I was in a bind. So to say that all the animes i received were either hardcore action series or lovey-dovey shoujo romance animes. Durarara was the kind of anime i had been looking for sometime. Well shoot, coming to the review. Officially it drives the genres of action n thriller but but when you have already seen it you wont be so sure anymore, cuz its such a mixture of sorts. Strange intriguing figures from the past, gangsters, mafia, high-skul brats, overpowered bartenders, dude what not. At first i had a terrible time taking it in all, and nothing could have made me believe afterthe elaborate build up episodes that the heterogeneous mix will be able to deliver a coherent story at the end. But by the time i finished i was proved wrong, completely and definitely. And that i guess sums up any question u mi8 have on the quality of the anime.
I loved the unique storytelling of this anime. The narration was awesome and voice acting gave me the feels, though it just keeps on getting better in the later seasons. The story unfolds in different perspectives guiding you through the plot. And as things become to settle a little for you in the city of Ikebukuro, the plot twists and surprises shakes it back down to the ground. Ikebukuro burns whilst the villain laughs and you sit back in awe, captivated.
Also there are minimal plot holes. But keeps a subtle window open for viewers where you can connect the dots in your own way and justify the way you see fit. Open interpretation space in a nutshell.

Character developement is good. Most of the characters that the story comes up with are complete and their actions are justified in their own way.
Interesting conversations and situations come up where you see abnormal people whose existence lies purely in fantasy and fiction try and keep up with the human society... while the actions of the normal human beings bring tremors.
There are also many references throughout the anime, so keep an eye out for them.
Theres so much more to write, but im not gonna anymore. Cuz im bored and have a sudden urge to re watch the series. Time fr u guys to stop reading and start watchin as well....
