Review of Monster
One of the best animes out there. I've never found anything like it since. Naoki Urasawa has managed to create one of the most compelling villains and plot that I've seen in anime so far. So-called "filler" episodes don't really exist in Monster; even "unnecessary" episodes illustrate characters in a way I have never seen anyone else do before. One of my favorite episodes was a "filler" so to say. The art, for the 2000s, is extremely... lush, and... I suppose the best word to describe it would be "fulfilling". I personally really dislike the dub, so I watched with subtitles for the majority of the story. Consideringthe fact that no other anime has ever matched the positive aspects of this show, the (few) errors and plotholes that do exist are excusable.
So... yeah. Just watch it. Not much more I can say to describe it.
