When a friend's life is lost, the memory of them usually comes back to you. In AnoHana, the story of a lost friend is the main idea here. When a dead friend comes back to the world to have her wish granted, the six childhood friends all work together to try and complete it. When Menma comes back to see Jinta, he seems confused at first, but then he realizes that she's actually there with him. Struggles take place as he tries to get the other four friends to believe it, but as they have drifted apart through the years after her death, it is veryhard. After watching this, it really brought back memories of an old friend I had a long time ago. The story itself is very sad and will probably make you cry (I know I cried through every episode) if you are one of those people who cry over things such as the death of your favorite character. Though the lost friend seems to be the point of this, there is a large love triangle involved with the characters, which really didn't bother me any, it just made the story more interesting.

The art style and effects used were very well great. The shading was nice, the glow when the characters come to a light, it was all great.

The music used was as well amazing. It uses two pieces of music: Aoi Shiori by Galileo Galilei, and Secret Base (10 Years After ver.) by Ai Kayano. Both songs are flawless.

The character development was pretty quick, as expected. All characters were a bit different from each other, but that's what wanted me to know more about each of them all.

The enjoyment I had watching this anime is a full 10. Really, I could not stop watching it. I was so drawn into it that I had to watch it in a marathon from episode 1 to episode 11 and not stop till it was done. I had tears in my eyes in each episode. That's how much it drew me into it. I wanted to keep watching it, and I loved it, and I'm glad I watched it.

Overall, this is definitely a 10/10 anime and a high recommendation.
