Review of Black Lagoon
There's something really special about this show, and no, it's not the scantily clad young woman dual wielding pistols. Much as Revy rocks (yes, pun intended), this show is made potent by its strong storylines and its other characters, at least this season (looking forward to more development from Revy later). There's so much to this underworld and how various characters manipulate its central players. Each arc demonstrates different ways this plays out, with the later ones being particularly insightful on the kinds of effects this can have on their main players. It's still mostly surface level with only the last couple of episodes startingto get into something deeper, but there's enough promise here that I can only expect a deeper dive in S2 and I'm here for it.
