Review of High School of the Dead

If you are looking for an anime with a complex storyline and intriguing characters, you need to keep looking. This anime is silly and uses any excuse to show breasts that bounce up and down with every foot step. However Highschool of the Dead is just a fun show to watch. There is no need to get to into the plot, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy. The action in HOTD is awesome, heaps of blood and some bad-ass weapons. If you are into zombies, you will love this anime. Story: The story in HOTD is nothing special. A group of highschoolkids and a ditzy nurse with giant breasts trying to survive a zombie apocalypse. Although some relationships are formed, they are weak at best. Aside from that, it is still an enjoyable story that is enough to keep you watching. 7/10

Art:
The art in HOTD is done very well done. It has a dark art style that fits nicely with the theme of a zombie apocalypse. The characters look good and so do the zombies. 9/1

Sound:
I didn't even notice the sound in HOTD which means one thing. It fitted each seen well. That being said, the sound wasn't memorable and I don't think I remember one song from the show. The sound does well to assist the scenes overall feel. 8/10

Character:
The characters in HOTD were average apart from Kouta. Kouta is a nerdy gun maniac that you can't help but love whilst watching the show. 6/10

Enjoyment:
HOTD is not something you should expect a lot from. You just need to sit back and enjoy what it has to offer, which is guns, zombies, blood and titties. If you watch the show like this, you are guaranteed to enjoy it. 8/10

Overall:
HOTD is an enjoyable anime to watch. As long as you don't take it too seriously, I recommend you give this anime a go.
