Review of High School of the Dead

Okay, first off, I'm a huge zombie + apocalype + end of the world trope fan. So this type of story hits me in a sweet spot. We start off the story at high school, where the zombie apocalypse breaks out and we follow the main character and his group of friends through their efforts to survive the new world. Though I'm not a huge fan of harem type anime or manga, I really actually liked the story. I liked the main character Takashi and I felt like he had depth to him. Out of all the girls out of his harem, I disliked Rei themost. She's just so... self-righteous. Plus, she was dating his best friend Hisashi. I don't know, not much love for her. And definitely my favorite female lead was Saeko-senpai because she has some darkness inside her and she's crazy cool. But I guess that says it all that I enjoyed the character development that came up in the series.

Art is definitely pleasing though be warned, panty and boob shots are EVERYWHERE. Definitely a crowd pleaser for some.

Good soundtrack and the voice actors are really great as always.

Definitely a fun and action-packed anime to watch. I reallllllly hope for a second season. In the mean time, I'm anxiously reading the manga chapters (whenever those come out).
