Review of Fate/Zero
When you see a title that is in production under the name of Ufotable studios, you will realize that you will have an outstanding series in terms of graphics, art, and animations. The well-known anime series Fate/Zero is no exception. This series takes you to a beautiful world that is full of action, supernatural, magic, and fantasy. With the help of a well-made story and dialogues, prepare yourself and your mind to take this experience. At first, you'll be a little bit confused about the story. I, myself, have repeated the first episode twice so I can comprehend the story. The story talks about a "HolyGrail War" that has happened 3 times previously in the past. With the promise of granting any wish to the victor of this war, the wealthy Einzbern family is confident that the Fourth Holy Grail War will be different; namely, with a vessel of the Holy Grail now in their grasp. Solely for this reason, the much hated "Magus Killer" Kiritsugu Emiya is hired by the Einzberns, with marriage to their only daughter Irisviel as a binding contract.
With this, Kiritsugu Emiya and his familiar, Saber have to face 6 other participants, each has an ancient familiar, and fueled by unique desires and ideals. These ancient familiar are unique and each has its own class and power.
The art and animation in this series are great! The fighting scenes are well animated, the environment is well-made too. However, there were series that are made by Ufotable which have a better animation and art. So, I'm somewhat disappointed with this. But it's still Ufotable did a good job in handling the art and animation. The long and somehow complex dialogues make the anime hard to follow; which makes this one of the negative points in the anime. The cliffhanger that ended the first season of the series was somehow annoying; it felt like the first season of the series was only some kind of advertisement for the light novel. So, I'm excited to start watching the second season of this series hoping that it will be better than the first one.
To summarize, Fate/Zero is a series that will make your mind work all day while you're watching it; trying to analyze and comprehend the story. You will also enjoy the beauty of the fighting scenes, and the beauty of Ufotable studios work.
