Review of Samurai Champloo
sooo well, the journey is over and i'm really sad about it. i loved this colorful anime a lot and it had a lot to offer. the characters were lovely and even side characters had something to love or hate about them. basically 2 boys and 1 girl go on a journey to find some mysterious samurai who the girl has some history with. if that isn't already a reason to watch this, i don't know. i personally am a huge fan of historical japanese content, but this anime brought it to another level. there were a lot of modern references, e.g. graffitti, beatboxing orrap and a lot of hip hop influences, WHICH I LOVED. nujabes and the other guys did a great job (r.i.p. nujabes). i really wish more anime would use hip hop as soundtrack music, but i guess it just doesn't always fit. my favorite thing about this anime was the friendship between the three travellers. not exactly during the anime but most of all after watching the last episode and looking back at the journey. 9/10 because there were a couple of unrealistic moments that just bothered me, but nevertheless gold show.
