This horrible piece of work manages to completely butcher what the original visual novel stood for pretty much in the same way that the visual novel butchers the poor murdered girls. I'm not a VN elitist, in fact I play relatively few visual novels, but the reality is that this sad piece of work just exists to detract from everything the visual novel managed to push forward. A brilliant detective novel with fantastic music and characters and dilemmas just gets obliterated in a blender for a few scenes animated for a hentai. It's sad, pitiful and honestly should never have existed. If the actual visual novel wereanimated properly, which it will never be now that this has been made, it would have been a fantastic piece of work sitting on a comfortable 8-9 overall for this site because its witty dialogue and its exquisite world building and frankly tragic story would merit no less than that.

For a lack of a better word, this is simply sad, once again.
