Review of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

I enjoyed it! I watched it in chronological order, so episodes from both seasons were mixed in. However, I'll focus on the ones from season 1. The story caught me a bit off guard at the beginning. I went into it fully blind and was confused at the beginning. Still, the story was refreshing and the episodes went by fast. The art style hast a retro (Haruhi's eyes are big and wide and far apart, for example), but nothing to complain about. The animation is great, especially in moments like the live. The OST was good. OPs and ED are memorable. I personally really liked the characters. They werewhat got me hooked into the series.
