Literally the best English Goku voice ever casted in history. This movie is adorable, and perfectly captures the spirit of OGDB. Please no matter the cost please watch it in English. The actor lets the whole movie feel like a Peanuts special based around kung fu, which is exactly the best part of this era of Dragon Ball. Most movies are skippable, none are canon, but this one is a must-watch. The plot is so-so, par for the course for a DB movie, and, similar to its kin prior and since, primarily offers an alternative plotline to an anime/manga arc, though I don't care to figureout what it's supplanting. None of this matters in the face of the fun and camp in this movie, and any fan of OG DB would find this to be an unparalleled top tier Dragon Ball movie, pure turn-your-brain-off fun.

If I absolutely HAD to conjure a critique, it's that next to the lovable casting for Goku and Krillin, and perfectly acceptable casting for Roshi, Bulma and Yamcha sound... wrong. Neither are a great fit for the characters, which is a real shame because I love both of these characters, particularly pre-Z when they had more to do, which this movie delivers on!

Besides that, this is easily a favorite Dragon Ball film, alongside Broly 2 and Wrath of the Dragon. If you're in the mood for OG DB the original trilogy is all a great time, but this one in particular hits just right.
