No, really. This is an 8 with so many caveats. I have no connection at all with the light novels or manga this series is based on. As far as I knew, the ending of this arc of the series was exactly what it should have been. Issei is calmed by finding out that his friend is still alive and his love for Rias is strong. That's how you end a dramatic, hero's arc. It's great. Then I watched this and it is absolutely RIDICULOUS. I honestly thought that it was the studio having fun with the ending and just making the most crass, silly, over thetop parody. There's no way that anyone would take this seriously, right?

Apparently, no. This is the way the light novel ended. With everyone singing the "Oppai Dragon" song and calming the rampaging Issei with boobs. Half the cast is like, "What the fuck is this?" The other half knows what this is and are shaking their heads in shame.

It is stupidly hilarious and possibly my favorite episode of the series...but it's a terrible ending for the arc. I mean, yes, High School DXD is silly and stupid, but it knows when to be serious. This is like putting a Hitchhiker's Guide ending onto MASH...but with more boobs.
