this is one of those shows from back when giant monsters attacking cities was the norm and magical girls putting on their super suits required them to be naked first. the girls are cute and the animation is peak. What most got my attention about this show is how well the cityscapes are portrayed. Thevillain has a huge office and the computer monitors were closer to a cube shape than the flat screens we're used to today. really fun trip down nostalgia lane. is the story interesting or original? no. but i could see clips of this show ending up in an AMV for vaportwaveor hyperpop music. even the outfits when the MCs aren't fighting the baddies are detailed and look cool without being over-the-top. it's a fun watch but not something I would consider a must-see.

if a full show is a recipe that feeds you for a week or more, this is more like a snack that that you stop into a mom and pop diner to have a quick bite and keep travelling on a road trip. it's fleetingbut not so much that i wish i had more. it's juuuust right
