Review of Tokyo Revengers
Tokyo Revengers was so incredibly entertaining from start to finish, each arc was really well reflected upon and integrated and the cast absolutely flourished within the world. I love how exaggerated this show was throughout, it's so fun to be immersed in a world that doesn't seem entirely plausible because the story can be driven wherever it wants to go and in this case it really feels grounded still. The story throughout is very captivating, as our main character Takemichi learns more about the world and his goals and overall position we too learn with him and think the same way he does, it's so entertainingto always know exactly what the protagonist does as we follow them. There are so many crazy moments especially when the time travel is involved and you're absolutely at the edge of your seat during the climaxes of each arc. I will argue that at some points it's a little hard to believe certain plot elements but like I mentioned this show doesn't need to be totally realistic.
The characters in this show are so strong and likable, each one of them fit so well in the world and have their own unique quirks that really make them memorable, also they're all just so awesome and you really believe that they're capable of leading these huge gangs. The dynamics between them are so much fun to witness and you really feel the comradery and trust they have for each other.
Now the animation is definitely this shows weakest aspect, frankly most of the time it's not great but in my opinion it conveys the scenes well enough and I think the art itself is pretty good - the character designs especially.
Overall I really enjoyed this show, it was just so entertaining and I absolutely cannot wait for season 2 and I think everyone should give this a go!
