Fire in the Whole · review
This could have been so, so good. The smut? delightful, with lovingly sculpted muscles and detailed yet natural-looking smut. The romance? A genuine hurt/comfort. I love, LOVE the seme, a true veritable HIMBO, and while he DOES feel a bit underdeveloped, his present character more than makes up for his general lack of past. The uke is also pretty well-fleshed out as far as his inner pain is concerned. But the story wants to be dramatic, and sadly, just like Liebling...the drama part is ...clumsy. While the drama present here is much more grounded and realistic, the execution feels scattered and random, like the creator just throws backgroundsand events haphazardly as they go along.
As a result, the resolution suffers greatly.
Also, the story just needs a bit more. Just like 3-5 more episodes would have been GREAT for the story; as it is, the narrative does fall into the pitfall of using sex as a replacement for bonding activities, and the characters' relationship feels ever so slightly rushed.
Still good tho. Still warm.
