Though not many have heard of this, it's incredibly underappreciated, but you should definitely read it—I thought it was so cute and adorable! There's so much to appreciate, whether it's the rare instances when the animals are drawn as people (which is always entertaining to watch), the brief romantic love triangles, or even the depressing backstories that genuinely resemble what happens to actual animals. Some parts are heartbreaking, mostly Chichi's backstory which explain why she in particular hates humans, which almost moved me to tears. This is definitely worth looking at if you're looking for something cute but also a little sentimental!
