Maria: The Deposed Empress · review
EDIT: I stand by my first review. This is a horrible story. However, if you stop taking it seriously, it becomes the funniest thing you've ever read. Every romantasy trope in the book. Stupid as fuck ML. Very weird attempt at liberalism. Random BL sideplot. It's all so funny. If you're tired with the genre, this is so fucking funny. FIRST REVIEW: (JULY 8TH [NOT RECOMMENDED]) I dropped this because I realized on episode 4 by reading the synopsis that this was a slave x master romance. Not my cup of tea. Not reading that. Regardless, there's not much else going for this series. Beautiful art,but every single trope in the book. The art is the only thing that makes it different from its peers; The ex-ML is bad, his mother is mean, and the mistress is significantly worse Rastha. They are all bad with money and rely on FL to not ruin their kingdom but they don't appreciate her and give her to King Helland as collateral for her debt, after killing her parents. Just a walking soap oprea. basically romantasy junk food, with a horrible romance dynamic.
