It's great for what it is - and what it is, is a nice little critique on the isekai genre from the perspective of a guy from Modern Day Magic World sent to a medieval fantasy setting. If you like stories where someone goes back in time or to another world and teaches technology, but instead want to see the strongest guy from a hyperadvanced magical society going back to your ordinary isekai world to teach magic, this is precisely that. Is there a need for such a story? Idk but it sure is well delivered. There's the usual hook of summoned heroes defeating the demonlord, of course, but this doesn't waste a second of your time pretending that's what the story is about. Because the story is really about - you won't guess it - raising the cute demon lord to be OP.

The demon lord, despite naysayers, is absolutely adorable. She's not stupid whatsoever, but somehow she still keeps her brash, anoying demon lord charms. If you liked the personality of Demon Lords Atofe or Kishirika in Mushoku, this is that but in a cuter package and Melsha is actually smart. Too bad she doesn't believe in herself - but hey, at least we get to pretend to be surprised with her as she becomes OP!

The story itself doesn't insult your intelligence. At no point do you feel like they're having a misunderstanding that could be resolved with two words, nor do you feel like the people in the other world are absolute morons. Even those that are purposefully stupid act reasonably for their intelligence, or otherwise seem to have a reason for being that way - eg. the king and his lackeys aren't unreasonably stupid for kicking our guy out, they're just fat and lazy one-trick-ponies who never had to learn. The reasons for this are introduced at around Chapter 4 and continue to be fully revealed by around Chapter 8. What's great about this is that the attentive reader can notice all sorts of details before the other shoe drops with regards to any reveal. It's quite satisfying.

I get One Punch Man and Dragon Ball vibes from this. Dragon Ball because of the places they visit and the technology, and One Punch Man because of course the protagonist is hella buffed which leads to lots of anticlimactic battles. However, I'm at chapter 15 and I don't feel like he's unreasonably powerful. First off, he pretty quickly acknowledges that he isn't the strongest - in fact we start out with him trying to beat someone even stronger than himself, and being left in a pickle because his party members chickened out. So there's at least that to look forward to. But of course Melsha gets to be pretty OP too - watch out Raizel!

I just find this manga adorable and I wish more people saw the charm in it. Definitely will follow it along as soon as I get a hold of more chapters.
