It’s good. Just saw episodes 1-3 in the theater in Japan. Went in expecting another Akito or Resurrection or a quick cash grab, but this is something else. Story: Set some years after Resurrection. Hokkaido has been occupied by Neo Britannia. Two Britannian brothers, Ash and Roze, must recapture a girl named Sakuya who is the daughter of Hokkaido’s previous leader. Now that’s all I will tell you because literally everything else is a spoiler. Characters: I don’t want to say anything because even mentioning things about the main characters is a spoiler.Animation:
I’d say it’s pretty good. Maybe not as good as SEED FREEDOM but that’s a movie and this is a theatrical 4 part series/ONA so it’s not fair to compare the two.

Overall:
Definitely watch this. You don’t need to have watched Resurrection to understand this so long as you have a basic understanding of the world of Code Geass.
