This was announced as a recap of the Inazuma Eleven: Football Frontier arc. I expected nothing from this film, considering I had already watched a movie that works as a recap as well (The Ogre), but at least The Ogre added new music, new scenes and new amazing animation (the best animation we've seen in Inazuma by far, I have to say). Inazuma Eleven: Soushuuhen Densetsu no Kickoff is just a short The Ogre Movie without all the The Ogre content. The only noticeable thing is that at least the animation studio remade some sound effects for the matches but, honestly, you shouldn't really waste yourtime with this movie just for one or two improvements when you can just rewatch the anime or The Ogre Movie. It feels like a cheap, low-effort marketing strategy to atract old-school fans to theaters once again.
