I'll start with, it's basically vegem*te, those who love it will love, those who hate will hate... but still, it's something I'd recommend. How should I say it... I waited for the anime to get released to confirm what I thought about it, and it turns out to be right...it's the same things as Initial D. By that I mean, slow chapters, with high scenic details, which simply becomes a nicely made action-based anime. So, in other words, if you love visual details (except the character details, that part's very typical) you'd love it if you don't then, why did you read it in thefirst place? Saying it's bad because it's slow due to the time needed to make all those details is simply like (sorry for my 18+ish way on saying it) a s*xaholic saying doraemon is badly made due the lack of s*x scenes, it's simply not the point of the story to begin with...
But to be fair, I do admit, I wish there were a bit more emotional drama in both this and it's parent story. Like, a bit off topic, initial D, the drama of the MC was simply, having a crush, turns out she's a "p", drowning himself in racing 'till one day some random girl slaps him, ends up dating, and that's it. The action and technical details are very much over the top, yet the human-ish sides of the characters are almost unable to be found... With that, for this one to be like, a drama of a son looking for his father, I wouldn't expect much although I wish there will be more of those too
so overall, so far, i'd say great thanks to it's genre, but as a story not perfect. But still, it's recommended, 'cause visual concepts like what this series has is something rare.
