Review of Amnesia
What first really caught me from Amnesia were how unique the eyes were and overall for its looks Amnesia doesn't do too bad. Considering it was adopted from an otome game we know it won't have much depth to it and the plot isn't such a bad idea. Yet as i followed the story i found myself feeling just as confused as the main character herself. And what really urked me the most about this anime was infact Heroine. The name hardly suits her when she did nothing about what was going on. At one point shes falls off a boat into the lake andorion tells her to swim and what does she do? The answer certainly isnt try to swim back up. Throughout the story she hardly speaks and sits back and becomes useless as all these events and guys are thrown into her life. Not once did she speak up. (Plus your life is suddenly a reverse harem where bishies left and right are claiming to be your boyfriend this is not the time to run away). As episodes contiously aired i found myself yelling at Heroine to just do something.
Of course when it came to the end it was left open, and almost left something more to be desired. As an otome game it does well but as an anime it left me terribly frustrated. That's why i could only rate this as fair as i still kept interest in it and it wasn't bad to the point where i wanted to abandon it at all (i suppose because i wanted to figure out where the hell this show was actually going).
From an otome game point of view it makes sense why heroine is so dull, you're the one who puts life into her, chooses the path, and you become part of the game; but put into an anime Amnesia doesn't work out well and leaves you with the question of "what the hell just happened?"
