Review of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind
JoJo part 5 isn't a thinking man's anime. If you think too hard about the non-existent character development, 2dimensional nature and weak motivation of the characters, you could very easily hate this show. However if you look at the villain of the week storyline that provides quick hits of entertainment, filled with a great soundtrack, nice animation style and a bunch of unique ideas, its pretty fun. Most importantly JoJo 5 has fantastic pacing. There is significantly less time wasted on superfluous stuff compared to your average shonen (Though some episodes do drag and this moves its entertainment value from a 9 to 8). I think thisis the best factor on why it is so fun.
TLDR; Lacklustre plot and characters is made up for through spectacle and action. Worth a watch, but you don't need to bring your brain.
