When I watched the first season of Mob Psycho, I loved the fights and the whole psychic thing. But something was missing, actually a lot was missing. Yes, character development was missing in every form. All we saw was how strong Mob was and how Reigen fooled him and used his powers. However, this season was quite a surprise to me for a variety of reasons. Character - What actually caught me most off guard was how different this season was. Some minor spoilers - We finally saw character development for Mob. He finally starts understanding his emotions, the things happening around him. Reigen's character development(from a personwho simply use Mob's powers to earn money to a person much better). A solid 10/10.
Story -
As I said the story was built in such a way that the effect of character development was pronounced. All the various instances that happen throughout the story actively contribute to Mob and Reigen's character development whose effects we see during Mob's fight with the villain. The story nicely built up to that point. I would say the story was great hence a 9/10.
Art -
The artwork was good for the show and I always find a bit weird how most of the characters look in the show, but I guess it suits the show more. The fights were not that flashy, and most of the scenes were portrayed normally. So, I would call the art fair at max hence a 6/10.
Sound -
To be honest, I personally liked the opening of season 1 much more than season 2. I have listened to the opening of season 1 quite a few times but I personally disliked it. The background was good at times but otherwise pretty normal. A 6/10 for sound.
Enjoyment and Overall-
Overall the show was great. I loved the story and felt that this season covered most of the problems I found in the first season. I would have loved to see a bit more of Mob at his rage, but the show covers everything. I found this season to be better than the first, hence a 9/10 for it overall.
