Review of Sword Art Online

Is it good? No not really. Then why the heck am I recommending it? Because if you haven't seen it, it's still worth watching. This is a kids show. Treating it like anything else is silly. It's rated TV-PG for a reason. Even if that wasn't the author's intent that's what it ended up being. Once you realize that and don't take it too seriously that's when you can appreciate it for what it is. There's no question that it's poorly written but that ended up being half of the fun. Seeing how it didn't make sense half the time to such a ridiculous degree wasfunny and despite it's poorly written plot and characters was still more engaging than a lot of the seasonal Isekai slop that we get now.

It's a fun show to just turn your brain off and enjoy the silliness of it all. I want to recommend this show as a product of it's time and for it to be experienced as that as opposed to expecting something profound cause you won't find it here.

When it comes to clearly stupid shows, this one is worth a watch. (at least the first 14 episodes it got kinda boring after that tbh)
