[Non-Spoiler Review] This review will take into account this season, and the specials, which is basically a second season/follow up from the first one. Although not dominant in the romance aspect, and more so Slice of Life, ReLIFE has very quickly risen to one of my top 5, maybe even top 3 romances. I have so many unfinished romances in my list that will *probably* never get a second season, but are still god-tier in romance. But the satisfaction I felt from a 17 episode long anime that not only finished everything up with no loose ends (as far as I can see, but Imight be wrong) but ended just how I wanted it to. If it had ended any other way, this would've straight up joined I Want to Eat your Pancreas in level of pain and hurt achieved.

But ReLIFE thankfully does right by it's watchers. I laughed a lot and cried way too much towards the end. Almost cried for an entire episode and that sure was an experience. The characters are all likable, some flawed but aware of it (yes you Kairu), and realistic of high school students. This anime definitely hits all the right nails with emotions and how the last year of high school feels. And it also addresses the reality of losing your way in adulthood. This was one of the first animes I'd ever watched to tackle it in this way and I loved it.

Most Slice of Life animes I've watched tend to drag on and are a bit slow. Obviously for learning purposes for the characters, but this one was fun, even if it did *almost* break me. The concept was original for me, and I never imagined I'd enjoy it this much.

The character design was a 9, nothing looked weird to me, the facial reactions in exaggerated moments of the MC and even the other cast were perfect, made me laugh so hard. The one piano sound that would play at a random tense moment or something sounded a bit jagged and was a little weird, but super easy to ignore. My enjoyment was easily a 10. I kind of wish it was longer so I could have more time with watching the characters go about their usual routine, but the length of this was just right.

I couldn't recommend this more if you haven't tried it. I wouldn't regard this as a masterpiece but it's flawless in terms of execution for me and I wouldn't change a single thing.
