This anime was based. Unlike most fantasy anime protagonists, our MC—Keyaru—is highly unethical and utilizes whatever means he can to achieve his goal. In other words—unlike other protagonists—he is not a loser/pussy. He is actually more human and emotional, in a way, than the MCs from other shows. Keyaru endured terrible and unspeakable punishments; which is why he is incredibly vindictive. However, if we replaced Keyaryu with a typical isekai protagonist, he would simply—and robotically—'forgive' them. No sane human being would forgive a whole kingdom for what they did to Keyaru...and that's ok. Albeit, the plot was a bit exaggerated, and was crammed with hentai scenes; I enjoyedthis anime a lot. It is a step in the right direction for good content. Instead of COPY + PASTE MC/STORY/WORLD. Though it does retain a lot of harem elements, which could have been abated, it is more entertaining than the trash scenes in Akame ga Kill/Grimgar/Konosuba. Unfortunately, the sex scenes in Redo of a Healer have much more significant plot progression than the trash anime I listed; which really shows how low the standard is for anime these days.

People call it controversial, or whatever; but those are the same people that support maintaining the status-quo of fantasy anime (which almost all of it is comedy/isekai trash). Animes like Konosuba appeal to the lowest common denominator. So if Redo of a Healer is considered taboo by these 'people', you definitely know it will be worth the watch.

Anime Standards: 10/10
My Standards: 6/10
Total Score: 8/10

P.S: I recommend watching it with friends. Every time there's a sex scene you can think "Dang, that could be us." ;)
