Review of Days with My Stepsister

Interesting story, I think the premise is interesting and the execution is ok, but there are two major issues: the pacing and lack of emotions. The pacing is slow, that is okay, but it is too slow. To the point that each episode could be compressed to half of its length with basically zero losses. The other issue is that the two main protagonists are pretty much emotionless. I have never seen two people projecting as few emotions as these two, they are practically robots. And that is painful for a romance story in particular, where feelings are everything. Also, a deus ex machina happens halfway through episode11. I can't get into details without spoilers, but it is quite bad.

Besides that, the translation for this show is quite bad from Crunchyroll, and I could not find a fan translation to English.

Overall, Days with My Stepsister is a solid story, with bellow average production, that results in a bland experience because of its slow pace and boring protagonists. I can't really recommend it unless you are someone who enjoys very slow paced romance anime.
