Review of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc

The second season of Demon Slayer. If you didn’t know, it was actually watched more than the olympics. Is it that good? The answer is yes and I would recommend this to everyone to watch it. But there’s one small little thing which makes this second season not completely perfect to me. I’ll explain why. (Sorry in advance, English is not my native language. I have no idea where commas go :S) Story: 10 Ever since the first season came out I was really invested in the story. I think it is very interesting even though it might sound a bit basic for some people when readinga wikipedia article about it. But the show doesn’t disappoint. The more the story progresses the more interesting it gets. Whenever you might think it could get boring, the Mangaka always manages to make things interesting again. I personally think, that the story is pretty well paced and the events make sense. This second season was just straight fire. It has really good emotional moments and action. I don’t think that I’ve spotted any plot holes but I could be wrong of cause.

Art: 10
Surprise surprise. Who would have thought. The Artstyle is a ten? How unexpected. But seriously. How? How could they have made such an visually stunning anime? All those rotating-shots alone! This shows how talented people can really be. For me the animation is pure perfection. They even seem to have improved a bit. Or they’re just flexing on us and showing what they can do now with the upcoming fights and all. All in all, if you want to watch gorgeous animation Demon slayer is perfect.

Sound: 10
There isn’t much to say about the soundtrack. It’s just magical. It always fits to the situation whether the scene is emotional or full of action. The soundtrack in general is really good and the op has grown on me. At first it didn’t sound as good as the first op but after listening to it multiple times it gets better. There’s no debate on the ed. It’s just that good.

Characters: 9
The first nine on the list. Who’s “fault” is that? I’ll cut straight to the case: Tengens wives. I know that their not that important to the further story nor are main characters. However I personally think that the three are a bit bland. I can’t really explain it but for me there’s just nothing really special about those characters. They’re not bad characters don’t get me wrong but... there’s just something missing. (I know I’m the only one but how are the chest sizes of all three of them exactly the same? How long did it took to find the woman with the exact same chest size like dammn.) Still like every other character in the show. I enjoyed the demon(^^) as well as the main squad. Just like in the first season. Tengen Uzui has actually grown on me as a character even though I thought I wouldn’t like him. (He is also really fricking attractive <3)

What?! This doesn’t make any sense! You gave everything except characters a ten out of ten, so why is Enjoyment only a nine out of ten?! Let me explain. There’s one issue I have with this season. Most people would probably disagree with me, but my biggest problem with the show... is the comedy. It just doesn’t feel right. The comedy is placed at the most random moments and don’t really fit the mood. It doesn’t ruin the scene and make it less impactful but it’s just unnecessary. The comedy in the first season was better in my opinion since you actually had time to laugh. In this season something comedically happens and then five seconds later, he’ll breaks lose. Like... why? It can be just left out.

All in all would recommend everyone to watch it ^^. Can’t wait for season three. :D
