When the first Kuroinu came out it was pretty great on all fronts. Great animation, a decent enough story to get things going, and six episodes to allow for a nice variety of both fetishes and fun characters designs. Even if most or even all of it was unappealing to you, it was hard to deny just how much effort went into making it. It's a certified hood classic. But unfortunately I can't say the same about it's sequel. But let's jump into it. The plot of Kuroinu II: The Animation starts in the west of the Serenus continent, in the country known for it's lust anddepravation, Negramstia.

More than a hundred years after its foundation, this country has now reached the peak of prosperity and decadence. Possessing an overwhelming "charm" power, the great adulteress empress Radomira rules over Negramstia with her powers. The empress pass her days indulging in pleasure and in the neighboring countries "people hunts" are performed as a pleasure tribute, opening a chain of pillage and tragedy.

Meanwhile, many countries that won't stand such immorality any longer, unite and name themselves as the "Holly Alliance" to stand up against Negramstia. The force of the allied army overwhelm the Country, and they manage to successfully corner Negramstia in an encirclement.

But before the allied army stood one man. The one rumored to be the second coming of the founding father the "King Mercenary" Vult, the Black Dogs Knights' captain Direc Rond. Following Radomira's order, he pursues the allied army surrounding the Cuntry to destroy them but, the real ambition in Direc's heart is to "take over the throne". Not only aiming for the beautiful maidens of the allied army, but also empress Radomira, in order to obtain everything, Direc ignites his ambition.

And you wouldn't know anything about any of this because Kuroinu II is only one episode long. That's barely enough time spend on anything besides a few very shallow characters and maybe one or two sex scenes. I don't necessarily mind less episodes for a sequel, but I do expect a level of quality usually set by the first entry, and this isn't meeting it.

There are only two scenes. The first involves a succubus getting gangbanged, the second involves a dark-skinned elf as the sex slave for what I'm assuming is some sort of emperor or king, and a third one involves a group of women getting publicly getting gangbanged, which involved a loli, a witch, and a wolf girl, all of which are begging not to be raped, along with some giant horse men getting involved at some point.

And the worst thing of all when it comes Kuroinu II is the animation. It's one hell of a downgrade from the original.

Most of the animation is a smudged blurry mess. With most of the animation looking like it was AI upscaled and are low quality, which it probably was, to the fact that it seems to have filters over most if not all of it. Maybe the filters are to hide just how cheap the whole thing looks.

Listen, I'm not expecting a hentai company to pull out something as good as Studio Ghibli or Makoto Shinkai, but I do expect animation that doesn't make me feel like I have glaucoma.

A lot of the character designs are alright, but I'm pretty sure that's because of the source material. And the minimal amount of CGI is fine, but I'm also sure that's because modern day software to make CGI is streamlined enough that it would be hard to fuck up that bad.

Nitpicking a little bit, some shots are off and there's not a whole lot of continuity from shot to shot. I can't believe I'm complaining about the continuity in a hentai, but here I am.

It also doesn't help me that at some point it started reminding me of the directing style to "Taimanin Asagi", which I hated for being painful to watch. While it's nowhere near as bad, since "Taimanin Asagi" was actually painful to watch because of the flashing lights and out of focus camera, and this is fine, I still shouldn't be reminded of a seizure fest when I'm trying to jerk off.

The voice acting is fine. Everyone is doing their job, so there isn't much to talk about here.

Kuroinu II The Animation is such a downgrade that it come across as borderline unfinished.
