If you have been used to seeing some gory or dark, brooding anime with some humour, Chainsaw Man is your solid option. Especially if you have seen Dorohedoro and Hell's Paradise, it will be an anime that you're a bit familiar with. The violent scenes and the special forces that the protagonist represents will be the reason why you get hooked onto the series. It has Denji have reasonable goals for himself as a shounen protagonist, which makes him a standout character compared to other MCs you may watch. He wants life the way he wants it, and when he gets it...he reacts like any other human being. The only con will be that by the end of this series, you will sense that this is only the beginning and you wish some episodes would be stretched out to flesh out more of the interactions for the main characters alongside Denji, such as Power, Aki, Himeno and the rest of the Devil Hunters who are only seen in one episode near the end of the series.

I also enjoyed the creative and separate end credits for each episode, as it can summarise the tone and energy of each episode with its own theme.

Chainsaw Man is something you want to watch only if you have watched a lot of the same repeated tropes overtime.
