I'd honestly say it's an okay watch! This was made so long ago, 1989? I believe, so naturally the animation is a bit- eh. Nevertheless, it's only 26 minutes long (Well, 20, as the other 6 minutes are credits), so it's not like you'll get tired of stoic pictures. In fact, there were only a few of those (like when he performs) and the rest is animated pretty well for that time. Plus, the art is really dainty~ The story is nothing extraordinary, and you can pretty much figure the main plot out just by reading the title. The music, ah, the music... makes me nostalgic, ifanything.

The characters are cute. It feels like they're already developed enough, as in personality and all, plus it's short, so you don't really get to see them "grow". Apart from romance, that is.

I enjoyed Be-Boy Kidnapp'n Idol very much- it's relaxing, cute, funny and overall, worth the time! (If you're into old anime like myself, you've gotta give it a try!)
