Story: I really liked the pacing of the movie. Sure, some people may find it slow and stretched (specially the first half), but I think it was great for the narrative. It made it separate itself from the usual upbeat nature of the anime seasons, and it helped set the mood for what was happening. What happens can be considered predictable at times, but I the focus of the movie is not the events, but the emotions the characters feel. There were some great monologues, and some great insight into the motivations that drive the events of the movie. Art: Both art direction and animation is great. Yousee there was love put into it. I particularly like the scenes when Yuki and Kyon are walking on the street, and the final roof scene.

Sound:

Maybe the weakest aspect, but it was not bad by any means. The orchestral pieces added a lot of emotion.

Characters:

We got the see a good view into the feelings and motivations of the characters, as well as new sides we had never seen before

Enjoyment:

This movie is what made me a fan of the Haruhi Suzumiya series. It made me buy the entire collection of LNs.
