Review of Black Butler

It had the potential to be great. It fell apart in the end. The setting. The music. The art. The air of mystery. The detective-story feel. I loved all of it. And then toward the end of the second half, it just fell apart. They threw a bunch of questions at us, didn't answer any of them. Spent time building up back stories for side characters that were genuinely interesting but horrifically under utilized. Explored opportunities for character development only to ultimately toss them out as though they had never been. In the end, no one changed, very little was explained, hardly anything was accomplished, and itfelt like the whole story was a waste of time.
