Review of Black Butler

I started this anime in japanese and gave up on it because the first three episodes were very slow to me. Well to be completely honest I loved the first episode but the next two didn't live up to the first in my honest opinion. Recently it came out in english dub and my friend asked me to watch it with them and we made an anime day out of it (full day where you sit and finish an anime with an extra large pizza, ice cream, and don't do anything till the anime is finished) I prefer the japanese dub but that is agiven with almost everything. Never the less, it was extremely good from episode ten on. One you see the true nature of the red headed shinigami the show takes off. It just keeps getting better and better as it rolls through.

The characters are well explained by the end, the art is fantastic, the portrayal of the angels and other races was a really nice change from the norm. I really did hate how they teased at sebastians true form though.

Let me just say that over all, this anime is great unless you are a homophobe. I am part of the GBLT community and found a lot of it more amusing for it. There is lots of gender swapping, cross dressing, gay, and things that have made some of my more ignorant friends go, "Ewww."

So if you don't have an open mind about things.. I would steer clear.
