Code Geass is one enjoyable anime. Plot: Lelouch rebels against the largest empire of the world, Britannia. He can control actions of people he directly looks at and is very intelligent. With just these, he aims to overthrow the empire that has conquered Japan, views the Japanese as lower people (read slaves), and renamed Japan "Area 11"- therefore crushing is name and culture. He also has a personal score to settle against the Empire of Britannia. Transformers- inspired robots fight in middle of futuristic cities, and some brain- fuck kind of tactics are involved. At least, at the beginning of the the show. Later the battleslost their glory, and became who-has-a-better-robot showdown. This season is better than the next. A lot of boobs involved. Geass is unexplained.

The anime focuses on character consistency rather than their development. Didn't catch considerable plot holes. Characters argue over who is a greater hypocrite. Suzaku is delusional and getting punched- worthy.

Action is sometimes too unreal (there is no way a person runs faster than automatic guns, and this is not a supernatural anime, at least strength- wise). Overall though, it is a masterpiece and definitely worth a watch.
