hands down my favorite miyazaki film. the art is like nothing i've ever seen before, and i absolutely adore the ocean shots and any scene in the hotel adriano. the characters are charming and witty and full of life, and the soundtrack remains part of what i listen to a regular basis to this very day. i fell in love with the animation of this film, seeing it in its flowing and simplistic nature. its never a bore to look at, and gives me some of the wonderful miyazaki clouds that i love
