Review of High School DxD
When attempting to watch High School DxD, it may be tempting to give up after the first or second episode. "Just another trashy fanservice anime" you may tell yourself as you find something else to watch. However, if you're on the fence, I can promise you this anime delivers and then some. Once you reach episode 3, the plot really begins to build and the characters are flushed out a great deal more. By the time you reach episode 5, there's a good chance you could be in tears. The characters are the strongest point of this series and they become very quick to love, and with their supernatural abilities they become involved in many fast paced battles that with hold your attention. I won't lie, the series is very much saturated with fanservice, but the more you watch the more you realize it's so much more than that. Even if you're the kind of person who is tuning in for the fanservice, by the time you finish the first season you'll find that's no longer the reason you're watching it. Likewise, if the fanservice turns you off, you'll find that you've pushed it to the back of your mind in favor of the wonderful characters and story the series has going for it.
In short, don't shelve this series because of the nudity. Look past it, and you'll find enjoyment beyond your expectations. And if nudity doesn't bother you, then prepare to find nothing but enjoyment in this great work!
