As someone who saw ALL animation versions fom the X-men since the 80's, and free of any animations puritanism over antiques, I must say this was BY FAR the best X-men adaptation I have ever seen. Art, characterization, sound...all melded perfectly and I just do not score it higher because the story itself was common...but given that Marvel creates some Universal Threatr every week or so, that was not something to blame the anime, but more the Ethos of Marvel characters and Universe. I loved this anime, and I sincerely hope they make a Season II, then III and so on... I would like tosee Phoenix again, then Lilandra and the Shiar Empire and others...lets see.

I really think this trend with heroes is a really refreshing one using the real masters of animation to create something better than the dull adaptations made to this day by US studios.
