Review of Hunter x Hunter

Wow, I mean wow. This is one of the greatest battle shonens of all time. A must watch. The writing and story for hxh is great. I'll admit the beginning was a bit slow, yet it was enjoyable. But starting from yorknew town and then on it gets you hooked. Chimera ant can be a bit of a drag, but if you dig your heels into it, it's definitely one of the best arcs in the anime. Personally yorknew town was the best arc. Phantom troupe is one of, if not the best anime villain group out there. Madhouse did a great job making hxh.Even making this from 2011-2014, the animation still holds up to this day. The art style of hxh is nice to look at, it keeps your eyes on the screen.

Characters are unique. A lot of the hunters have their own personality and aesthetic. I love the characters, they're very likable. The development you see with Gon and Killua throughout the story is fantastic. Overall 9/10 for characters.

The theme for hxh can get pretty deep. At first glance you might think it's a happy go lucky "oh only kids watch this" anime, but it throws you a curveball. There are still some lighthearted moments, but it does a really good job contrasting between being serious and being comedic.

My enjoyment for watching this anime was through the roof. I took my time watching this, but when I had those moments where I would binge watch hxh I watched so many episodes. Finishing the last episode gave me goosebumps.

Would recommend this to really anyone whether they watch anime or not. Solid 9/10.
