Review of Plastic Neesan
Plastic Nee-san. One of the anime that made me constantly go, What the fuck? every time I watched an episode. The series is very short and it did do a few things very good. But I'll get to those later. The bad. As always I will get on with the bad first then move onto the good. there was a lack of a story, but i won't fault it too much as it is an episodic anime that relies on humor to get views and the soundtrack was kind of, well to but it bluntly, uninspired and unoriginal, and not that watching the anime would takea long time so that I could see if there was other tracks on the soundtrack, but I can only find the opening theme, which is decent at best. The animation in the series also feels like it's meant to be more of a showcase of what the animators can do rather than actually just wanting to adapt the series.
The good. I was complaining that the art was all over the place earlier but it did look nice, the animation was always very fluid and it I always found something nice to look at when i was watch the anime. The voice acting was also top notch, and it felt like the voice actors were always giving it their all in the studio it's a very thing to hear, Elfen Lied could learn something from this. And then you get onto the character development. The writing staff took a look at the series and devoted most of the half hour this series runs for to 3 of the characters. Makina, Hazuki, and Iroe. They play off each other amazingly well and you can definitely tell which character fits with which name by the end of the half hour. And most of the humor is just them playing off each other and getting into these ridiculous situations, with the exception of one famous scene, if you've seen it you know which scene I'm talking about.
Final Verdict:
The anime was funny but it was too short. It lacked any progressive story that other episodic anime, such as Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star had. But It's only a half hour and it'll definitely give you a few laughs along the way.
